Notting Hill Pied-à-Terre

This beautiful Pied-à-terre in a Georgian townhouse is now complete. The client required a warm and cosy city retreat that could easily be secured while traveling.

We designed the space to be eclectic, unpretentious, and stylish, while also being sympathetic to the existing architecture and local area.

Location:
Notting Hill, UK

Scope of work:
Complete renovation

Completion:
End of July 2024

Bespoke upholstery and window treatments enabled us to achieve the perfect balance of patterns and textures while catering to the specific needs of each room. Given the limited space, we designed multifunctional furniture with smart storage solutions to help maintain a clutter-free environment.

We used a paint technique called colour drenching to achieve this dramatic and sophisticated look. We love how the blue hue unifies the architectural features while also providing a stunning backdrop for bold textiles and accessories.

By using color repetition and recurring patterns, each room is visually connected, while still being distinguished by unique design elements.

The overall style not only reflects our client’s wonderfully eclectic taste but also harmonises beautifully with the local area and architecture.

“We sincerely enjoyed working with Manon and Lauren. Their creativity, discipline and kindness transformed the entire experience into a joyful journey. We completed the entire apartment including small details from abroad and everything went absolutely smoothly thanks to their precious planning and recommendations. We felt understood and cared with their professionalism and open approach. We would strongly recommend the services of MALA.”
